we got a bogey at 12:00!
the latest caricature contest over at the e-caricatures forum is humphrey bogart. i hoped i might have time to do more than just a quick, rough sketch, but it doesn't look like i'm going to. so here's what i've got. i was trying to exaggerate him differently from what anyone else has done without losing the likeness. whether i was successful in that or not, i leave up to you to decide.

Right now it looks like Bogey and Spock had a baby. It's the ear that's throwing me. It totally does capture the likeness of Bogey though. Although, the final drawing MUST have a cigarette in his mouth. Him and those smokes were practically inseparable all throughout his life (they'd eventually kill him of course).
thanx for commenting, dave. that's not a spock ear, though. just kind of an oddly shaped one. based on the photos i used, that was what it looked like. as for the cigarettes, i prefer to leave them out of my artwork, no matter who it is.
